KANAVU HERITAGE – TERMS & CONDITIONS

Welcome to Kanavu Heritage. These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings, stays, website usage,
payment processing, and any visit to our property. By making a booking (online, via phone, WhatsApp,
or through any third-party platform), using our website, or entering the property, you agree to these
Terms & Conditions.
Maintain a peaceful, safe and respectful homestay environment for all guests.
1. GENERAL TERMS
1. Homestay & Guest Eligibility
Kanavu Heritage welcomes reservations from all guest categories, including families, friends,
colleagues, couples and groups, provided that all guests agree to comply with these Terms &
Conditions, respect the property and the neighbouring community, and maintain a peaceful and safe
environment throughout their stay.
2. BOOKING & STAY RULES
2.1 Eligible Packages for Indoor Stay
Indoor access and the use of indoor facilities (bedrooms, living areas, kitchen if included, etc.)
are allowed only for the following packages:
- Overnight Stays
- Weekly Stays
- Monthly Stays
- Overnight Stay + Photoshoot packages
For purely event or photoshoot bookings (without overnight stay), indoor access is not included.
2.2 Check-In & Check-Out Timings
- Check-in: 13:00 Hr
- Check-out: 11:00 Hr
Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may involve additional
charges. Guests are requested to plan their arrival and departure accordingly.
2.3 Identification Requirements
- A valid government-issued photo ID is mandatory for all guests staying at the property.
- Foreign nationals must provide passport and valid visa details as per regulatory norms.
- The management may deny check-in if valid ID proof is not provided.
2.4 Quiet Hours & Noise Control
To maintain a peaceful environment:
- Quiet hours are strictly from 22:00 Hr to 07:00 Hr.
- Loud music, parties, or any activity causing disturbance to neighbours or the surrounding locality
is not allowed at any time, and especially during quiet hours.
2.5 Visitor Policy
- Day visitors (if permitted by the host in advance) must leave the premises by 20:00 Hr.
- Visitors are not allowed to stay overnight unless they are part of the registered guest list.
- The total number of people on the property must not exceed the allowed capacity.
3. KITCHEN USAGE TERMS
3.1 Eligibility for Kitchen Access
The kitchen is a shared, sensitive area with equipment, gas lines, and electrical appliances.
Therefore:
- Kitchen usage is available only with eligible packages and upon confirmation at the time of booking.
3.2 Additional Kitchen Fees
- For overnight stays, an additional charge of ₹1000 per night is applicable for kitchen access.
- Weekly and Monthly stays may have different kitchen usage charges, communicated at the time of
booking based on duration and requirements.
3.3 Guest Responsibilities in Kitchen
Guests using the kitchen must:
- Maintain cleanliness, keep utensils washed, and leave the area tidy after use.
- Handle gas stoves, cylinders, electrical appliances, and other equipment carefully.
- Avoid unsafe cooking practices that may cause fire, smoke, or damage.
3.4 Liability for Accidents
Kanavu Heritage is not responsible for:
- Any accidents, burns, or injuries resulting from cooking activities.
- Damage due to misuse or mishandling of equipment or appliances.
Any damage to appliances or infrastructure must be compensated by the guest.
4. EVENTS & PHOTOSHOOTS
4.1 Dedicated Event/Photoshoot Bookings
Events (e.g., birthday, engagement, get-together) and professional photoshoots (e.g., pre-wedding,
maternity, family shoot) must be booked under the appropriate event/photoshoot package and not under
regular stay packages.
4.2 Outdoor-Only Access
- For event or photoshoot bookings without overnight stay, only outdoor areas of the property may be
used.
- Indoor spaces (bedrooms, living room, kitchen, etc.) remain strictly closed and inaccessible,
unless explicitly included in a specific package.
4.3 Washroom Access
A designated outdoor washroom will be provided for guests and crew during events and shoots.
4.4 Setup, Decor & Vendors
- All décor, furniture movement, lighting, and equipment setup must be pre-approved by the
management.
- External vendors such as photographers, decorators, caterers, and sound providers must follow
property rules and operational timings.
- Any drilling, nailing, or damaging attachment to walls, floors, or property structures is strictly
prohibited.
4.5 Cleanup & Waste Management
- All decorations, disposable materials, props, and waste must be cleared before checkout.
- Additional cleaning charges may be levied if the property is left excessively dirty or littered.
4.6 Loss & Damage
Kanavu Heritage is not liable for:
- Lost, stolen, or damaged personal items, cameras, lighting equipment, or décor.
- Technical issues affecting photography or event execution (e.g., weather, power interruptions).
5. ALCOHOL, SMOKING & PROHIBITIONS
5.1 Alcohol Use
- Alcohol consumption is permitted only within legal limits and in accordance with local laws and
regulations.
- Possession of more than 3 litres of alcohol is illegal and strictly not allowed on the property.
5.2 Smoking Policy
- Indoor smoking is strictly prohibited.
- Guests who wish to smoke may only do so in designated outdoor areas, if provided.
5.3 Drugs & Illegal Activities
- Use or possession of drugs, marijuana, or any prohibited substances is strictly banned.
- Any illegal activity will lead to immediate eviction and may be reported to the authorities without
any refund.
6. GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES
Guests are expected to:
- Provide accurate information at the time of booking (number of persons, purpose of stay, event
details, etc.).
- Take care of their personal belongings. The management is not responsible for lost valuables.
- Use furniture, appliances, and fixtures responsibly.
- Report any damage immediately to the management.
Any damage to property (furniture, fittings, electricals, garden, or structure) must be repaired or
compensated by the guest at actual cost.
Nearby sightseeing or outdoor activities are at the guest’s own risk, and Kanavu Heritage is not
responsible for accidents or incidents occurring outside the property.
7. CANCELLATION POLICY
- Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the check-in date will incur a 15% cancellation fee +
applicable GST on the total booking amount.
- Cancellations made within 7 days of check-in will be charged 100% of the booking amount, and no
refund will be issued.
- For bookings during festive seasons, peak dates, or special events, a notice period of 15 days or
more is required for cancellation; within this window, no refund is provided.

8. MODIFICATION POLICY
- Upgrades (e.g., higher package, longer stay) may be allowed subject to availability, and guests
must pay the difference in tariff.
- Downgrades (e.g., shorter stay, switching to a lower package) are not allowed after the booking
has been confirmed.
- Date or package modifications depend entirely on availability and the season.
9. REFUND POLICY
- Eligible refunds (as per the cancellation and modification rules) will be processed within 10
working days.
- Refunds will be made via bank transfer or through PhonePe, depending on the original mode of
payment.
- No refunds are issued for:
- Early checkout
- No-show
- Bookings cancelled due to rule violations or misrepresentation by the guest
10. PROPERTY SAFETY & LIABILITY
- Guests are not allowed to bring hazardous items such as explosives, inflammable materials, illegal
substances, or weapons.
- Kanavu Heritage is not liable for:
- Any accidents, injuries, or medical emergencies that may occur on or off the property
during the stay.
- Weather-related or unforeseen circumstances causing inconvenience.
Violation of rules may lead to cancellation of the stay and guest eviction without refund.
11. PAYMENT TERMS (PHONEPE COMPLIANT)
- All online payments are processed securely via PhonePe.
- Accepted modes may include UPI, Wallets, Credit/Debit Cards, and Net Banking, as supported by
PhonePe.
- Full payment is generally required prior to check-in or as per booking confirmation terms.
- In case of payment failure, the booking will not be confirmed.
12. PRIVACY POLICY (SUMMARY)
Kanavu Heritage collects and processes personal data such as:
- Name, address, phone number, email
- Government ID details
- Purpose of stay
- Payment information (processed via PhonePe)
This data is used for:
- Booking and stay management
- Identity verification and legal compliance
- Communication (confirmation, updates, support)
We do not store full card or bank details. These are processed securely by PhonePe’s PCI-DSS
compliant systems. Data may be shared with authorities where legally required. Cookies may be used to
enhance website experience. Guests may request correction or deletion of certain data (subject to
legal retention requirements).

13. SHIPPING / SERVICE FULFILLMENT POLICY
- Kanavu Heritage does not supply physical products; we provide stay and experience-based
services.
- Upon successful booking, guests receive a confirmation via SMS and/or Email with booking
details.
- Services are considered fulfilled once the stay or event is completed on the scheduled check-in and
check-out dates.
14. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in
connection with bookings, payments, or stays at Kanavu Heritage shall fall under the exclusive
jurisdiction of courts in Kerala, India.
